4 week class, 2 hours each
This course is designed to give novice stitchers a comprehensive foundation in machine sewing. Students will graduate with the skills they need to make a project from start to finish and will gain the confidence to begin tackling anything.
Students will make a tote bag with lining and interior pocket and a pouch with a zipper
Skills learned:
Machine threading and operation: sewing straight lines, pivoting, backstitching, changing machine settings, troubleshooting
Fabric selection
Making pocket
Pattern layout, grainlines, and cutting techniques
Seaming and topstitching
Installing a zipper
Incorporating a lining
Skill Level: Novice. No experience needed. We provide machines although you are welcome to bring your own.

Thursdays, Sept 4 - Sept 25, 6:00 - 8:00
Class size:
4 students per class, must be 50% full to run. If it is not, class fee will be refunded or you can re-schedule to another session.
